In 1963, the Justice Dept told NH it would be illegal to start a lottery. They did it anyway. But the fight with the Feds, the Church, the press and the mob were so fierce, the NH Sweepstakes nearly failed and there would be no lotteries today. 

On this secluded New Hampshire horse farm, something evil happened. A woman named Sheila LaBarre lured men to work on her property. One by one, they disappeared. The truth of what happened to them was a fate worst than death.

Danny Paquette was shot in his backyard on the first day of hunting season. Despite the many enemies he'd made, police ruled it an accident. Then years later, police discover a suspect whose involvement was an open secret around town - because many thought Danny Paquette had it coming.

A custody battle between a fast-talking lawyer and his fragile ex-wife takes a turn when a pipe bomb is found in her mailbox. Among the rouge's gallery of suspects include petty crooks, wannabe mobsters, and one gold digging girlfriend who wants it all. 

From Kevin's original TV special report: the family of Michael Deloge hopes to learn his fate, having last been seen on Sheila LaBarre's farm. Months later, investigators would say some of Michael's remains were found on the Epping, NH property. (Originally broadcast on WMUR-TV.)
